Silence is golden
If you train alone you probably get this more than those who don't. There is a freedom in the silence, a tranquility in the peace and a brutality in the struggle when it's tough and you're feeling it out there on your own.
The sense of achievement when you get it done (whatever it is) is for me very special, especially if improvement has been made and lessons have been learned. There are always lessons. But sometimes we are either not listening or tuned out.
Training on your own is a good discipline to get into if you are doing individual endurance based sports. It's also a good discipline to get into if you're looking to make lasting lifestyle changes.
Ultimately, the only person who can make all this stuff happen is you. Embrace the struggle.
