It's All a Matter of Flow

Started working with speedy Jon on his biomechanics yesterday and we had a really interesting session. He paid for a Marathon Training Pack back in December and has used a couple of those sessions on niggles and we are now into making him more efficient.

The first session was all about taking him to bits and really breaking the elements of his movement down. From there we’ve discovered and discussed where the issues are and what he is going to do to change things.

It’s unrealistic to think that you’ll see massive change off one session. In someone as fit as Jon I’d say we are looking at 4-6 week timeframes to see significant change if he works hard and does his homework.

We also aren’t going at this all at once. I’ve given him the areas where I think he will see the quickest wins and this should keep him motivated and spur him on. You can’t do it all at once. Your head will explode and you’ll become disheartened.

As you may be able to see from the photos he has differences in range of mobility right v left which we are working on as well as some form work to correct.

All very exciting and ultimately with hard work and dedication he ends up with a smoother, more enjoyable ride and he gets quicker using less energy.

Get in touch if you’d like to discover what you’re capable of.
